1. A-1 scores a basket with 5 seconds to go in the 4th quarter. In celebration, A-3 and A-2 run onto the floor. Handle the Situation?

2. Thrower-In A-1 passes the ball to A-2 in their back court. A-2 gets confused and throws the ball at Team B’s basket. The attempt is unsuccessful. A-2 recovers the ball and begins to dribble. Handle the Situation?

3. The score is Team A 60 and Team B 60. Team A has a throw-in in their back court. There are 5 seconds left in the game. Thrower-In A-1 throws the ball to A-3 and the game clock operator starts the game clock to soon. A-3 catches the ball and the game clock horn sounds. A-3 then tries for goal and the ball goes in the basket. Handle the Situation?

4. During the 2nd quarter B-7 enters the game. The official scorer notifies the officiating crew that B-7’s number is not in the official book. The officiating crew rules a team technical foul on Team B. This is also charged indirectly to the Head Coach of Team B?

5. B-1 scores on a lay-up. Team A has the ball at their disposal for a throw-in. B-5 intentionally throws an elbow in A-4’s face. This shall be ruled a flagrant technical foul on B-5? T-F

Answers:

1. Direct Technical Foul to the Head Coach of Team A. Team B will receive two free throws and the ball at the division line away from the table. 10.6.5.
2. This is an illegal dribble. Once A-2 recovers the ball, the dribble has started and ended. Case Book- 4-15-1.
3. This is a complex play. If you have definite information the goal can count; or not count. If you stop the game when the throw-in is in flight, go back to the original throw-in spot. If you stop the game where A-3 catches the ball continue the game where A-3 caught the ball. 5-10-1 and 2.
