This website is here to help improve understanding of high school basketball rules. The rules being covered are those provided by the NFHS. This website should help all high school officials (new and experienced) to be better in their role as basketball officials. It should also help fans and coaches to a better understanding of the rules governing high school basketball.
Paul Behr is President and Rules Interpreter of the Catawba River Basketball Officials Association. He has a passion for basketball officiating and a desire to share his in-depth knowledge on the game. He is a high school basketball official for more than 42 years. He has worked multiple state semi-finals and finals.Paul is an IAABO member, one of more than 17,000 members worldwide. He was Chairman of IAABO’s Rule Examination Committee and also a member of IAABO’s Education Committee. Paul has been also a presenter at IAABO’s Fall Rules Interpretation Seminars.
Paul is a former school basketball coach and a former crew chief for the American Basketball Association. He is a member of the South Carolina Basketball Officials Association’s Board of Directors and currently provides rules interpretations for high school basketball for the State of South Carolina.
