The play described below is provided for your review and discussion. The rulings given are based on NFHS rules. NCAA rulings may be different.

A-1 is fouled by B-1 in the act of shooting.  After the whistle has sounded, A-1 intentionally throws the ball into the face of B-1 knocking her down.

Handle the situation.


A-1 is charged with a flagrant technical foul and is immediately disqualified.  A-1’s substitute will attempt the free throws for the foul in the act of shooting.  Then Team B will be awarded two free throws.  No players will line up along the lane for any free throws.  The ball will be awarded to Team B at the division line opposite the table for a throw-in.
