The play described below is provided for your review and discussion. The rulings given are based on NFHS rules. NCAA rulings may be different.

A1’s try is in flight.  Team A’s head coach screams at an official because he thinks a foul was missed.  A technical foul for unsporting conduct is ruled.  Then the ball passes through the basket.

Handle the situation.


Since the try was in flight, the technical foul on the head coach does not make the ball dead.  The goal counts.  Team B will be awarded two free throws and the ball at the division line opposite the table.

    Very Interesting Play. Correct, some Officials might think that the Technical Foul causes the ball
    to be dead. Thanks.
