A-2 is fouled in the act of shooting and is injured during the attempt. The coach comes onto the court to attend to A-2 who is quickly able to recover and resume play.
Handle the situation.
Because the coach has come onto the court, the team now has a choice regarding the continued participation of A-2. Either Team A may request and be granted a timeout to keep A-2 in the game or Team A may replace A-2 with an eligible substitute. If the substitute option is used, the substitute will attempt the free throws.
