A-1 in the frontcourt near the division line is dribbling the ball when he loses control of the ball momentarily. The ball bounces on the division line and then bounces in the frontcourt. A-1 then recovers the ball.
Handle the situation.
This is a backcourt violation. Although the ball now has frontcourt status, the requirements of the backcourt violation have been met. A-1, in the frontcourt, was the last to touch the ball before it gained backcourt status. A-1 was also the first to touch the ball after it had gotten backcourt status. The ball’s current status in the frontcourt is not relevant.
