The play described below is provided for your review and discussion. The rulings given are based on NFHS rules. NCAA rulings may be different.

A-1 is upset over no foul being ruled when he thought he had been fouled.  His antics earn him a technical foul for unsporting conduct.  When he does not stop his complaining, a second technical foul is ruled.  The coach is notified of his disqualification.  Two minutes later A-1 is discovered back in the game.

Handle the situation.

A-1 is directed to the bench.  A direct technical foul is ruled on the head coach of Team A.  This results in the loss of the use of the coaching box.  Team B will attempt two free throws and receive a designated spot throw-in from the division line opposite the table.

  1. THOMAS HANBACH

Correct. We should be aware, so this does not happen, but it could and needs to be
    ruled correctly. Thanks!
