The play described below is provided for your review and discussion. The rulings given are based on NFHS rules. NCAA rulings may be different.

During the 1st quarter Team B is warned for interfering with the ball following a score.  During the 3rd quarter B-1 breaks the boundary-line plane during a throw-in by Team A.  The official rules a delay-of-game technical foul on B-1.  Was the official correct?

The official was NOT correct.  Although it is a technical foul for delay of game due to the fact that this is the 2nd delay-of-game warning situation in the game for Team B, this is a team technical foul.  It is not charged to any individual.   (References: Rule 10-2-1e)

This is the last Play-of-the-Day for this season.  A big thank you to all of you who sent in plays to help all of us get better.
