Team B scores on a breakaway layup.  A-1 picks up the ball, steps out of bounds and tosses the ball in the direction of the official.  The official does not touch the ball.  The ball bounces along the end line out of bounds where it is picked up by A-2 who has stepped out of bounds.  A-2 passes the ball to A-3 inbounds.

Is this legal?

Just after the half has ended, the coach of Team A is quite vocal about a possible foul that was not ruled at the buzzer.  A technical foul is ruled against the coach while the players are still on the court.

A-1 attempts a jump shot.  The ball hits the back of the ring and bounces up into the imaginary cylinder above the ring.  A-5, who jumped for a possible rebound, momentarily grabs the ring to protect himself from injury.  A-5 releases the ring before the ball passes through the goal.
