The play described below is provided for your review and discussion. The rulings given are based on NFHS rules. NCAA rulings may be different.

A-1 is charged with a technical foul for unsporting conduct.  The coach of Team A replaces A-1 with A-6.  While on the bench, A-1 makes an obscene gesture toward the official who had issued the original technical foul.  A second technical foul is assessed.

Handle the situation.

Team B will attempt four free throws and will receive the ball for a throw-in from the division line opposite the table.  A-1 is disqualified to the bench.  Since the second technical foul occurred while A-1 was bench personnel, the coach of Team A receives an indirect technical foul and loses the coaching box privileges.  The team foul count for Team A is increased by two.
