The play described below is provided for your review and discussion. The rulings given are based on NFHS rules. NCAA rulings may be different.

A-1 is awarded a one plus one bonus free throw situation.  A-5 in the middle lane space fakes entering the lane before the free throw is released.  B-5 in the first lane space enters the lane before the ball is released.

Handle the situation.


This is a free throw violation by A-5.  No goal can be scored.  If there are no further free throws, the ball will awarded to Team B for a designated spot throw-in at the spot nearest to where A-5 was located.
