The play described below is provided for your review and discussion. The rulings given are based on NFHS rules. NCAA rulings may be different.

Two Team A players arrive late to the game.  At halftime the coach adds the two players to the roster.  

Handle the situation.


This should result in a technical foul for adding a name to the team member list.  Only one technical foul penalty would be applied.  To start the third quarter, Team B would be awarded two free throws and would be given a division line throw-in from opposite the table.  Since the throw-in is the part of the technical foul penalty, the alternating possession arrow would not be switched.
