The play described below is provided for your review and discussion. The rulings given are based on NFHS rules. NCAA rulings may be different.

A-1 attempts a free throw.  A-5, who is standing next to B-5, swim strokes B-5 to gain better rebounding position as the ball bounces off the ring.

Handle the situation.


A personal foul for holding B-5 should be ruled.  If Team B is in the bonus, B-5 will receive bonus free throw attempt(s).  If not in the bonus, Team B will be awarded the ball at the spot out of bounds nearest the foul.
