The play described below is provided for your review and discussion. The rulings given are based on NFHS rules. NCAA rulings may be different.

A-5 attempts to dunk the ball. and jams the flange with the ball.  The ball bounds straight up into the air.  A-5 grabs the ring momentarily to steady himself and then drops to the floor.  Then the ball passes through the basket after A-5 has released the ring.

Handle the situation.


This is a good goal.  A live ball has passed through the goal.  A-5 did nothing to prevent the counting of that goal
