A-1 jumps to attempt a try and releases the ball. A-1 then charges into B-1 who had obtained a legal guarding position. Then B-5 attempts to block the shot, misses, slaps the backboard causing it to vibrate. The ball does not pass through the basket.
Handle the situation.
A-1 is charged with a player control foul. A-1’s foul causes the ball to become dead immediately. B-5 ‘s actions are not relevant since the ball is dead at this point in time. No penalty is applied to the action of slapping the board since the ball is already dead.
