1. A1 has a throw-in on the end line in backcourt. A1 throws a pass to A2 who deflects the ball in the frontcourt into the backcourt where A3 recovers the ball. A2 never had control of the ball in the frontcourt. The Center Official “no calls” the play. T-F.

2. The timer shall have a stop watch for timing time outs. T-F

3. The Referee may correct an obvious mistake by the timer to start or stop the clock properly only when he/she has definitive information relative to the time involved. T-F

4. If the referee determines that the game clock malfunctioned or was not started/stopped properly, or the clock did not run, an official’s count or other official information may be used to make the correction. T-F

5. A1 is driving to the basket and is fouled by B1. The shot is unsuccessful.  Instead of A1 going to the line, A2 goes to the line and makes both free throws. Team B takes the ball out of bounds and throws the ball in, A5 fouls B5. Team B is in the bonus. B5 attempts the free throws which are successful. The scorer now informs the officiating crew that A2 was the wrong shooter. Is the error still correctable? Yes-No

1. A1 is intentionally fouled attempting a “3” point shot. The try is unsuccessful. A1 will attempt:

2. With 0.3 on the game clock, a team can only score on a tap if the game is resumed by a throw-in. T-F

3. With 0.3 on the game clock a team can only score on a tap if the game is resumed by a free throw. T-F

4. A protective face mask may be worn and made of hard material, but shall be worn molded to the face with no protrusions. T-F

5. A1 throws a pass from the backcourt to the frontcourt. Once the ball is released, the “10” second count shall end. T-F

1. A1 is driving to the basket and is fouled by B1. The try is unsuccessful. After the play, B1 pushes A1 to the floor. The officiating crew confer with one another and determine that B1’s contact is unnecessary and adjudicate  an intentional technical foul. Team A will shoot the free throws in the order of occurrence. T-F

2. A period ends with B1 committing a intentional personal foul on A1. The next period will start with A1 receiving “2” free throws and the ball at the spot of the foul. T-F

3. B3 scores on a “15” foot jump shot. Team A is permitted to have all five players out of bounds for the throw-in, but they have “5” seconds  to throw the ball inbounds. T-F

4. B3 throws an errant pass that goes out of bounds on the endline.  Team A may have all five players out of bounds on the endline  and thrower-in A3 may throw the ball to A4 who is out of bounds. T-F

5. A1 is dribbling the ball and fumbles the ball while touching the ball with both hands.  A1 recovers the fumble and dribbles again.  The Lead Official rules an illegal dribble. T-F

1. A1 drives to the basket and is fouled by B1. The try is unsuccessful. After the play, the Assistant Coach of Team B is assessed a technical foul. The free throws will be attempted in the order of occurrence. T-F

2. In question 1, any player or substitute may attempt the technical foul free throws.  T-F

3. In question 1, A6 substitutes for A5. A5 cannot come back into the game until the clock is properly started. T-F

4. In question 3.  A6 must stay in the game until the ball is legally touched. T-F

5. Substitutions between halves may be made by the substitute or a team representative. T-F

1. A1 is shooting his/her first free throw. The Coach of Team B is clapping and yelling to his/her players to box out. The free throw is unsuccessful.  The center official rules distraction and awards A1 a substitute free throw. T-F

2. Jumper A3 taps the ball backwards and the ball touches the floor. A3 recovers the ball and dribbles. The U1 rules a jump ball violation. T-F

3. A1’s dribble ends when the dribbler palms/carries the ball by allowing it to come to rest in one or both hands. T-F

4. A team member is a member of bench personnel who is in uniform and is eligible to become a player-T-F

5. The use of electronic devices is permitted during the game. T-F
