The play described below is provided for your review and discussion. The rulings given are based on NFHS rules. NCAA rulings may be different.

During the first quarter, a foul is ruled against B-4.  At this point it is discovered that B-4 is wearing #26.  A check of the scorebook shows players with numbers 27, 28 and 29.  

Handle the situation.


All of these numbers are illegal.  As such, the numbers make the jersey illegal.  This makes the uniform illegal.  One technical foul will be charged to the head coach of Team B.  Team A will attempt two free throws and receive a throw-in from the division line opposite the table.  The head coach for Team B loses the right to use the coaching box.
