A-5 is fouled while attempting a two-point goal. While the ball is on the ring, A-4 tips the ball into the basket.
Handle the situation.
The basket interference rule provides no exception for the offense. Regardless of which team touches the ball while it is on the ring, basket interference should be the ruling. In this case, since the offense committed basket interference, no goal can be allowed. The potential goal by A-4 is nullified. However, since A-5 was fouled in the act of shooting and since the try was not successful, A-5 should be awarded two free throws.
